Great Grandma's Pumpkin Patch

On Monday the kids were still out of school for fall break, so we took a trip to Tooele to visit my Grandma. When we arrived she told the kids that they could go pick a pumpkin from her garden to take home for Halloween. My Grandma has always had a great Garden, and I have learned a few tips from her in planting and taking care of my own garden, but I still have much to learn.

The kids were really excited and wanted the biggest pumpkin they could find. They started trying to measure each pumpkin.

Emily and Valerie both thought this pumpkin was the best.

But the boys did not agree. They liked this pumpkin the best and they were sure it was the biggest.

So we ended up with one for the girls and one for the boys

They will be perfect for our Halloween Jack-o-lanterns.

Those are awesome pumpkins. We went to a pumpkin patch and the lady in charge told us that they had to be able to carry it themselves. So we have some pretty tiny pumpkins. I can't believe how much Valerie has grown!
